Pretty much says it all in the title. If you could pick one venue to have the World Cup either return to or host for the first time, where would you pick?

I’d personally like to see Champery come back… or Angel Fire. (anywhere in the western U.S. really, AF was just the first ex. venue to come to mind.)

As far as for a new venue, that’s a tough one. Retallack would be pretty rad, although they don’t have the facilities to pull it off, but they definitely have the elevation and terrain.

What do you lot think?

I’d rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Big Bear CA I know they don’t have a quality run of that level but there’s nothing to stop them nowadays either.

Its proximity to one of the most major cities in the world with a population mass that would overrun the mountain if the World Cuppers came to town LAX is a factor as well and it’s my backyard that’s my own selfish issue can’t apologize for that one.

I would love to see a race on the old Durango or Vail track. Crested Butte always puts on one hell of a party and has some nasty terrain potential.

I loved watching the Bromont DH coverage. Would love to see another one there.

Somewhere in CO, Telluride would be sick.

I was at the first Telluride World Cup and I don’t recall any of the riders complaining about the track. Being a Californian, and not wanting to have to fly into that airport (It’s scary.) I have to go with somewhere in Cali. It’s time to mess with the Euros with our quality dust. Going back to Mammoth would be cool. They could cut a whole new track worthy of a World Cup. And as Pedal4life said, Big Bear also has the history and is close to a major population center.

I feel like Mammoth could host one hell of a WC. They have The terrain for all disciplines and a large area for pits. It would be rad.

Word, Durango was amazing. Wide, steep, and fast; my wet-dream track! As for a new world cup venue, Deer Valley and the old NMBS course would be sweet to see!

I’ve always thought Keystone could pull off a World Cup DH race. Steep and rocky so the terrain is there. That mountain needs a true DH race course anyways. So much potential….

With you 100%. Love Keystone – just need to invest in a proper WC DH track top-to-bottom. Where is Vail Corp on this??? Seriously could you imagine straight down River Run @50mph+ through the finish!?!
