Brent Foes is one of those bike builders who’s not afraid to tinker. In fact, he’s made his living as a fabricator renowned for his rad metal creations. This is his latest, the Mixer. This bike sports the travel and geometry to be called a proper enduro bike, with one major aspect setting it apart from the rest. The bike uses a 29er front wheel, paired with a 27.5er rear wheel. Brent claims that this allows him to build a bike with the rollover benefits of the big hoop in front, and the clearance to get the travel he wants in the rear. It also allows Foes to build the bike with a dedicated low bottom bracket height and suspension kinematics that match the wheels and geometry. The bike sport 160-170mm of rear wheel travel, and is built around a 160mm travel fork with a 66.5º head angle. We’re on the short list for testing one. Stay tuned.
